LIBRARIAN

Students should possess at least one text book of their own for each subject of study.  It may be noted that  library is not a provider of text books to students for reference only.  Library is a reservoir of various sources of information and knowledge and students should utilize library  as a source of additional and updated information.  They should cultivate the habit of studying in  the  library whenever they are  free from  8.00 AM to 8.00 PM .

Our Central Library provides good learning materials through CDs, good Journals: National and International, Video Conferences and Discussion rooms

Every year more than 3,000 volumes are being added.

Open Access System is followed in the Library.

INTERNET FACILITY

Library avails the 12Mbps Internet connectivity for BSNL Leased Line.

The library subscribes to 70 Technical print National & Internatinal Journals/ Periodicals , Daily News Papers.

DIGITAL LIBRARY

The library has 10 dedicated computers with multimedia and Internet facility.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

Working Hours:  8.00 A.M. to 8.00 P.M.

LIBRARY CODE OF CONDUCT

• Cell Phones are NOT allowed into the library.
• Students should compulsorily carry their identity cards to the library.
• Library books are issuing on online barcode based circulation method, hence it  informed to produce student ID cards for all library transactions. No transaction will be done without student ID card.
• Students should enter their roll number and name in the gate register and sign in the same before entering the library.
• Printed matter and personal belongings such as, books, bags,  etc., or  any other material which the librarian objects to should not be carried into the library. They should be kept in the shelves provided at the entrance of the library; if they are carried inside the library, they will be confiscated and treated as library property.
• Strict silence should be maintained inside the library.
• Students shall not misplace books from their positions in the racks.
• Students  must  satisfy  themselves  about  the  physical  condition of the books before borrowing. The last borrower shall be held responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return of books.
• Borrowed books are not permitted to be taken inside the library unless they are to be returned.
• Books borrowed should be returned in good condition and before the due date, failing which, fine will be levied as per the rules of the library.
• LATE RETURNS OF BOOKS: Fine for first day Rs.5/- and next day onwards Rs.1/- will be added.
• The Librarian, at his discretion, may not reissue until some days the returned book, to the same student.  
• If the borrowed book is damaged or lost, the student shall be liable to replace the book or pay double the value of the book immediately, along with the fine payable.
• Reference books with a single copy and periodicals are not issued on loan.
• Books should not be returned on the same date.
• Students are advised not to take more than one copy of the same book.
• Rules printed at the hand book should be followed.
• The Librarian may take appropriate action under intimation to the principal on member found misbehaving in the library.
• The infringement of the library rules shall make the student forfeit the privileges of membership of the library, in addition to the action takes as per the disciplinary rules of the college.
• Outsiders should have prior permission from the principal to enter or use the college library.

BOOK ISSUE POLICY

USE OF E-LEARNING CENTRE

• Net access is allowed only for educational URLS.
• Users are not allowed to send or receive E-mails from the library.
• Penalty ranging from Rs.500/- to 1,000/- will be levied on students using the net facility for other than educational purpose.
• Maximum time for browsing is restricted to 30 minutes and one hour for videos.
