The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in the year 2000. The department offers a four year degree(B.Tech) program in Computer Science and Engineering with an annual intake of 120 students with 10% lateral entry intake.
The department has highly qualified and very experienced faculty with a minimum qualification of M.Tech. Among all the faculty, Six faculty members pursuing Ph.D from different Universities.
The department of CSE has sophisticated computing facility with splendid computer labs with latest configuration systems. The departments have nine laboratories with a total of 550 systems which are connected in LAN. Also consisting Four high-end servers such as IBM 3500 Xeon (3 No.), IBM 226 XEON (1 No.), IBM225 XEON (2 Nos.), IBM 220 (1 No.). Internet facility is provided by BSNL with a bandwidth of 10 Mbps. The department provides internet facility to the students from 8AM to 8PM.
Students are guided by the faculty members to do their academic projects in the department itself in different areas as part of their curriculum.
CSE department conducts Placement Training, Personality development and communication skills programs regularly for the improvement of student skills and knowledge. Also the department conducts workshops & seminars on recent trends & technologies regularly for the skills improvement of the students.
The CSE department has the memberships’ with professional bodies like CSI & ISTE and has been conducts workshops with the collaboration of CSI & ISTE on recent technologies.
The department conducts faculty development program (Mission 10x) every year for their skills improvement.
Our students are well placed in various companies like IBM, COGNIGENT, INFOSYS, DELL, VIRTUSA, INFOSYS, HCL, TCS, CARITOR, MAHINDRA SATYAM, WIPRO, GE Capital Bangalore etc., and has achieved good results in the various competitive examinations like CIVILS, GATE, GRE, TOEFEL, CAT etc.,.
The department have the licensed Software’s. The software available are TURBOC, TURBOC++, VISUAL STUDIO, ORACLE ENTERPRISES EDITION, D2K Windows based, SCO-UNIX, RED-HAT 7.0, 7.1, 7.2, 8.0, 9.0, ORACLE 10g on LINUX Enterprises version and Rational Rose software.
A well furnished digital library in the department with various national and International journals and thousands of E-Books. The department also has the conventional library consisting of sufficient volumes of text books.
The CSE department also has the MoUs with Oracle corporation, Microsoft corporation & IIT Mumbai. The department conducts certification programs, workshops & special programs every semester regularly with the help of the above organizations for the improvement of the student skills.
